Franklin D. Roosevelt Post #58 Newsletter
SPRING 2008
Why was Post 58 named in honor of F.D.R.???
F.D.R. was the 32nd President of the United States and served longer than any other president of the United States. He held office from 1933 until his death in 1945 at the beginning of his forth term. During his presidency he led the United States through two great crises; the Depression of the 1930’s and World War II.
Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882-1945) was the nations only president to declare a war and not live to see the outcome that the United States won.
